Ashcombe Manor

Sarah Patel — Eleanor's maid of honour.
Eleanor's flatmate for three years in Bristol, now her partner in many baking-related crimes. Author of the only acceptable banana-bread recipe.
Henry Walker — Tom's best man.
Tom's school friend of twenty-two years and the source of approximately half of all anecdotes Tom finds funny. Has been threatening to write the speech since 2019; it is mostly written.
Rebecca Lloyd — Bridesmaid.
Eleanor's older sister and the calm voice on the other end of every dramatic phone call since 1998. Will probably cry first.
James Okonkwo — Groomsman.
Tom's university roommate and the person who introduced Eleanor and Tom three years before they actually started talking to each other. Hero of the hour.
The Old Chapel
Walled Garden
The Long Barn
Bacon sandwiches by the fire
By train — Chippenham (Great Western, direct from London Paddington in 1h 10m). 25 minutes by car / shuttle from there.
By car — Ashcombe Manor, Ashcombe Lane, Wiltshire SN15 5RR. Plenty of on-site parking.
Where to stay — there are no rooms at the manor itself, but the village has three lovely options within a short walk or drive:
Getting home — there's a shuttle bus from the manor back to The George Inn at 11:30pm and 12:30am, and a local taxi number for anywhere else: a friendly local minicab firm runs all weekend.

Get Directions →Your being here is more than enough. Genuinely — please do not feel any obligation.
If you would like to mark the day, we are quietly putting together a fund for a long honeymoon next spring — we have not been on a proper holiday together since 2022 and we would love a fortnight in the Italian lakes. We are also splitting a portion with a small UK charity close to Tom's family. If you'd like to know which, ask any of us on the day.
If either resonates, you can contribute via the RSVP form. Otherwise, just please come thirsty.
Love,
Eleanor & Tom
